Group Services:
Learning From One Another
We recognize that individuals can learn and grow just as much in a group setting as in a one-on-one session. Our range of programs are tailored to different abilities and ages so that everyone who joins our groups finds success in social interaction and personal growth.

Social Groups
These supportive groups, scheduled after the school day, allow clients to share experiences, practice skills, and learn from one another. Some of our many groups include:
-
Intake & ObservationOur process begins with a phone call from an MBC Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to learn more about your family and listen to your goals and concerns. Next, the BCBA will set up a time to meet your child at our practice, and determine which assessment fits their needs. During our time together, we’ll utilize research-based assessments including VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, and PEAK. We also will arrange to observe your child completing every day tasks at home, such as the mealtime routine.
-
Parent Discussion of FindingsAfter the BCBA has reviewed and compiled the results of your child’s assessments and observations, they will set up a parent meeting to go over their written report. The behavioral analyst will then begin collaborating with you to develop an individual treatment plan that best addresses your child's goals, as well as a timeline for completing those goals. We will also discuss your own goals and involvement, a behavior plan to help you directly address any maladaptive or dysregulated behavior, and the amount of treatment hours recommended.
-
The Therapeutic RelationshipOnce your child’s treatment plan is established, our amazing administrative staff will work with you to identify a start date and schedule. A Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) will collaborate with your BCBA to establish goals and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship with your family. MBC utilizes a variety of teaching procedures based on your child's learning profile and needs.
-
Continued Coaching, Supervision & CollaborationThe BCBA will return to your home as both a parent collaborator and a supervisor, overseeing the the RBT and the treatment plan’s progression. As programs and objectives are mastered, new ones are added until the BCBA and your family feel that your child has met their goals.
