At MBC, we use our extensive background in special education and behavior analysis skills to partner closely with schools, developing effective and individualized behavioral plans that support students’ success in the classroom.
By collaborating directly with the educational institutions, we create strategies tailored to students’ unique needs and goals. Our evidence-based approach focuses on promoting positive behaviors, improving social skills, and reducing challenges that impact learning. Together, we work to build a consistent and supportive environment, empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Staff Training
Classroom behavior management is one of the most difficult parts of being a teacher. Often paraprofessionals and instructors lack proper training and seek guidance and feedback to best address issues. The skilled team at MBC will review current strategies, provide training and evidence-based solutions, and introduce a classroom management plan to help students meet expectations, and experience personal success, in the classroom.
Expert Consultant for Schools
Our ABA therapy practice serves as a trusted school consultant: we offer expert guidance as needed for schools striving to create inclusive learning environments. Collaborating with educators, administrators, and support staff, we address behavioral challenges, develop effective classroom strategies, and implement individualized interventions. We support third-party Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Ultimately, our goal is to empower schools to foster positive behavior and enhance student engagement.
IEP Support
MBC has a long history of helping children stay in school where they are struggling behaviorally. We are dedicated to empowering both your child and the school team, starting with an in-school observation and then collaborating with teachers and staff.
For students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), we provide targeted support to ensure the plan addresses their specific needs. We work alongside the school team to create or refine these plans, ensuring they align with your child’s strengths and challenges. Together, we’ll develop strategies that enable your child to learn in their unique way and thrive in their current school placement.
Alternative School Placement Program
For some students who struggle with in-school skills and dysregulated behaviors, neither a general education setting nor a therapeutic school is the right fit. If your child is facing similar challenges, our Alternative School Placement program may be an option. Contact us and we’ll discuss how our BCBAs work in partnership with schools to help students eventually transition back to the school environment.
